The 2022 results of the Science Academy Young Scientists Award Program BAGEP, which was initiated by the Science Academy in 2013 and carried out with community support instead of public funds, have been announced. Three faculty members from Hacettepe University were awarded the BAGEP 2022 Award.

Within the framework of the Science Academy Young Scientists Award Program, three of the BAGEP 2022 Awards given to Faculty of Engineering member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tunca Doğan, Faculty of Medicine member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Naşide Mangır Bolat and Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sebnem Yardımcı Geyikçi.

This award, which is given to outstanding young scientists and includes two years of research support, has been awarded by 10 young academicians from Hacettepe, for the first time in 2016.

The BAGEP Award and its application are not project-based, and candidates must submit a research program of not more than two pages describing the research they will do if they receive the award, as well as a publication list consisting of up to 10 important publications at the time of application. Within the two-page program, candidates are asked to present their research visions and career plans until the application. The BAGEP Award is given to scientists under the age of 40.
