“The First-Year Experience Professional Network” brings together higher education professionals who conduct programs to facilitate the adjustment and enhance the life skills of first-year students in undergraduate programs in Turkish universities. Network’s  goal is to share expertise regarding best practices and organize professional events around the theme of “First-Year Experience in College”. The network was established in 2017 and is now composed of 207 higher education professionals representing 88 institutions.

It was hosted by Hacettepe University and Sabancı University in March within the scope of monthly themed workshops organized by the members of the First Year Experience in University Professional Network. Hacettepe University Sustainable Teaching and Learning Center Academic Peer Support program was presented as a Peer support model by Dilek Avcı on march 22, 2022.
