QS World University Rankings evaluated 1,422 universities out of 2,462 applying this year. This number was 1002 in 2020 and 1300 in 2021. According to the results of the QS World University Rankings 2023, in which the results of the 2020-2021 academic year are evaluated, the number of universities in Turkey has increased to 24 this year.

The rates regarding the evaluation criteria are as follows:

• Academic reputation: 40%
• Employer reputation: 10%
• Faculty/student ratio: 20% (recognition survey, research income, research efficiency)
• Number of citations per faculty: 20%
• International academics rate: 5%
• International student rate: 5%

According to the results, Hacettepe University has been in a downward trend starting from 2016 and has been in the 801-1000 band in the last five years. In this year's country ranking, our university shares the 7th place with İstanbul University.

According to QS, Hacettepe University's overall score was determined as 10.5 in 2021, while its place in the ranking was 801-1000. While the overall score increased to 10.8 in 2022 and 12.2 in 2023, our university maintained its place in the 801-1000 band in the general ranking.

According to the QS 2021, 2022 and 2023 report scores of Hacettepe University, the situation is as follows:

While our university's scores in Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation have increased this year, it is noteworthy that the Citations Per Faculty score, which has a 20 percent share in the evaluation, has decreased. It is especially emphasized that the Academic Reputation score, which is 480 in the general evaluation, is the strongest indicator on a global scale.

This year's preliminary evaluation results were also reported for the International Research Network and Employment Outcomes indicators, which will be included in the QS methodology starting next year. According to these results, Hacettepe University achieved the best score in this field, ranking 426th on a global scale in the International Research Network title.
