Talha Demir, who stepped into the ring at the International Kick Boxing World Cup held in Istanbul and attended by 3,500 athletes from 52 countries, became the second in the world, leaving behind her tough rivals. Demir, a 1st year student at Hacettepe University Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department, added a new one to his medal collection by being the second in the world in 63.5 kilograms and K1 category.

Having achieved many successes in national and international competitions, the national athlete also came first in the Turkish Wushu Championship held a few months ago. Saying that his goal is to achieve greater success and to wave the Turkish flag, Demir will represent Turkey and his university in the World Universities Combat (Combat Sports) Cup to be held between 20-30 September 2022.
