“Doğramacı Building” was opened

The opening ceremony of the new administrative building of our university was held on Friday, September 9 at Beytepe Campus. The opening ceremony was attended by Bilkent Holding Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Abdullah Atalar, Tepe İnşaat executives, officials from the Court of Accounts and the Ministry of Transport, Hacettepe University Senate, members of the board of directors and administrative staff attended.

Making the opening speech of the ceremony, Hacettepe University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Cahit Güran stated that he was happy to open the new building on a special day such as September 9, the liberation of İzmir, and said: It was such a job. As Hacettepe University, we untied a blind knot. So today is a very special day for me. There is nothing as difficult as doing business; excuses, sensitivities and egos can always come to the fore, but the pleasure of doing business, succeeding and creating a work is above all of them. We are moving towards the point where it will free our university from the shackles on its feet and make it run faster.”

Rector Güran said that they named the new administrative building as “Doğramacı Building” and thanked everyone who contributed.

At the ceremony, Bilkent Holding Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Abdullah Atalar also made a speech and stated that İhsan Doğramacı and Hacettepe University are the main reasons why Turkey is ahead in the field of medicine. Atalar said, “I would like to thank our Rector Cahit Güran, who brought this beautiful building to Hacettepe University by unraveling that impasse.”

After the opening speeches, Rector Güran presented the symbol of Hacettepe, a deer statue and a certificate of appreciation to Abdullah Atalar, who contributed to the construction of the building, and Atila Kemal Oğuz, General Manager of Tepe İnşaat, and inaugurated the “Doğramacı Building”.

The Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, Strategy Development Department, Internal Audit Unit and Personnel Department serving in the Sıhhiye Campus were moved to the new building in Beytepe.
With the evacuation of an area of ​​approximately 5 thousand square meters in the Sıhhiye Campus, it is planned to make the health campus more usable for educational, research and social needs.
