In QS World University Rankings, 1001 universities in 2019, 1002 in 2020, and 1300 universities out of 1673 applied this year were evaluated. According to the results of the QS World University Rankings 2022, in which the results of the 2019-2020 academic year are evaluated, the number of universities in Turkey has increased from 9 in the past two years to 21 this year.
With the increase in the number of universities included in the ranking, the scores of Koç, Sabancı, İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent and Boğaziçi universities, which were in the top five in the previous years, are in a general downward trend and the score of Middle East Technical University has increased and placed in the third place. It is seen that some universities have risen one step and some universities have maintained their place in the band they were in the previous year. According to the results of the QS World University Rankings, it is seen that Hacettepe University has shown a downward trend starting from 2015 and settled in the 801-1000 band in the last four years.
The Overall score of Hacettepe University was determined as 10.7 by QS in 2020, and there was a decrease to the 801-1000 band in the Overall Rank. In 2021, Hacettepe University's Overall score decreased to 10.5. When we come to the 2022 results of Hacettepe University, it is seen that the Overall score increased to 10.8 and the Overall Rank remained in the 801-1000 band as in the previous year.

While our university's scores in the titles of "Academic reputation" and "Employer reputation" increased this year (score: 15.6 and 13.5), it was observed that the score of our university remained the same in the title of "Faculty student", while its score decreased in other titles. In the QS general evaluation, it is emphasized that the title of “Academic Recognition” (score: 15.6), which is 501+ for Hacettepe University, is the strongest indicator at the global level, as it was last year.
